SALES GROWTH AND ADDITION OF PLASTICS LINE PROMPT
MOVE TO LARGER QUARTERS FOR SPECIALIZED RUBBER
EXTRUSION MANUFACTURER IND-EX INC.
Middlefield, Ohio - IND-EX Inc., a Zero International company, has
moved its headquarters and manufacturing plant in
Middlefield, Ohio, to a 10,500 sq. ft. facility in
the same town, located at 15650 Madison Avenue. Many
times larger than its original location, the new
facility is designed to accommodate continued strong
sales growth in the five-year-old company's core
business in specialty rubber extrusion
manufacturing. It also gives IND-EX needed room for
expanding its operation to manufacture plastic
extrusions, making the company one of a very select
group of manufacturers capable of providing both
rubber and plastic extrusions. Scheduled to come
online during the second quarter of 2005, IND-EX's
new plastics line offers the same, full range of
value-added capabilities that provide one-stop
shopping for the company's rubber extrusion
customers.
IND-EX
is known for creative problem-solving and on-time
delivery in producing precision profiles and custom
rubber formulations and extrusions. The firm offers
specialized services that are difficult to find
elsewhere -- and are rarely available from a single
source. In-house production capabilities include
cutting, splicing, notching and taping extrusions.
The recent installation of six-inch air presses has
more than doubled splicing capacity. With a
full-time die-maker on staff and a fully-equipped
machine shop in its plant, IND-EX produces its own
dies in-house, with typical turnaround of two to
three days. In addition, the company uses an optical
comparator to duplicate parts easily on-site, as
well as accelerate production schedules by
quality-checking extrusions in-line.
Located in the heart of the primary U.S.
rubber-manufacturing region, IND-EX can supply
standard and customized formulations of the highest
quality in virtually any kind of rubber, including:
EPDM, neoprene and silicone in both dense and sponge
forms, nitrile and SBR. The company also provides a
full range of SanapreneTM and sponge plastic
materials. Rubber and plastic extrusions are
available in standard and custom shapes and
profiles, tinted to specified colors as needed.
IND-EX's manufacturing facility is designed for
optimal environmental protection. Equipped with
three state-of-the-art chillers, the new plant
recycles all scrap materials and waste products, as
well as curing salts.
A
wholly owned subsidiary of Zero International of
Bronx, New York, IND-EX supplies materials for its
parent's door and window gasketing products and can
offer particular value in extrusions for glazing and
firestopping applications. The company is also well
qualified to supply quality extrusions for a wide
variety of other industries, including agricultural,
appliance, construction, food processing, packing
and the automotive aftermarket.
